World famous treasure hunter Floyd Mann shares with the AHRF his insights on a billion dollars worth of treasure that was scattered across the United States by A secret organization called the Knight Of The Golden Circle or KGC for short. But they needed a great amount of money to support a 2nd civil war. So they started collecting, robbing and stealing money, gold, silver, jewelry, arms and ammunition. They buried it around the country in old mining tunnels, pits and holes that they dug. They assigned armed sentries to protect this loot from being found. But by the time they had amassed enough fortune and supplies to fund their second civil war, World War One broke out an ended their plans by uniting the country. Also, most of the KGC had died off by then anyway. But the treasures they buried, which some have estimated to be worth billions if not trillions of dollars, is the stuff that dreams are made of to treasure hunters. Floyd shares some clues as to where to look, what to look for and where to go to get more information. This was presented at our 2005 symposium and Floyd was not given enought time to go every thing he wanted to share with us. If enough people are interested we can try and get him to speak to us again where we can give him enough time to share it all. The AHRF thanks Floyd for taking the time to talk to us. Subscribe to World5List http://goo.gl/cpJSA6 Find us on... -- http://www.boredbadger.com -- http://www.facebook.com/world5list Have you ever dug up your garden only to uncover a ten thousand dollar diamond? Us either. While that’s unlikely to happen to the average Joe, it’s definitely happened. Join us as we unearth some of the most valuable gemstones that were found in the most peculiar ways! Rare Gem or Paperweight? Imagine you were attending a garage sale or a comic-con convention and you saw a stack of money being used as a paperweight. A bit ridiculous, right? Well that’s kind of what happened to mineral dealer Morgan Sonsthagen. Sonsthagen was attending the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show when he came across a table using a beautiful pinkish-orange rock as a paperweight. Diamond in the Rough During a dig in Russia’s Udachnaya diamond mine, miners discovered a rock with two unusual characteristics - a red and green hue and, oh, 30,000 miniature diamonds. Since the diamonds were so small, they couldn’t be made into jewelry, but the team donated it to science to see if someone could unearth how this rare stone came to be. Finders Keepers America hosts a few mining sites where amateur miners and tourists can search for precious gems. That’s just what Bobbie Oskarson did one day. Originating from Longmont, Colorado, this tourist took a trip to Arkansas, home of the Crater of Diamonds State Park. Turning Rocks into Riches One family of diggers turned their fun hobby into mind-blowing headlines. W. Renn Adams’s family took up the hobby of digging on the family farm to look for interesting, and hopefully valuable, gemstones. The hobby even turned into a business when the family charged the public to dig by hand in the 70s and 80s. After retiring, Adams continued the tradition, but like the generations before, he never found anything with real value. Historic Eruption While this next gemstone is not a huge money-maker due to its rarity, its unique discovery lead to the creation of a large niche in the gemstone market. Volcanoes are infamous for the damage they cause, but a volcanic eruption is what lead to the discovery of one of the most beautiful gemstones ever found. Mount St. Helens, located in Skamania County, Washington, was said to be a dormant volcano where tourists and locals like gather to gawk at its beauty. Big Beauty While the last five treasures we discussed were impressive, we’ve saved the best for last. Just this past October, the mother of all finds was unearthed in Burma. A team of government-employed Burmese miners were working in a mine in Kachin State and simply doing what miners do, searching for precious, valuable gemstones to bring to the man. That’s when they stumbled across a monster of a stone, which turned out to be a nearly 200-ton, 14-foot-high-by-19-foot-long beautiful jade boulder.

Oklahoma City Girl finds 3.85 Carat Canary Diamond in Arkansas State A 14 year old Oklahoma City Girl found a 3.85 carat canary diamond during her visit to the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Ark. on Saturday Tana said she said a prayer of thanks, and named the gem the God's Jewel diamond Tana's gem is the 396th diamond found so far this year. On average, two diamonds are found a day by park visitors. The colors of diamonds found at the park are white, brown, and yellow, in that order. Henderson noted that with this diamond, the current trend continues of visitors finding diamonds on the surface of the search field. Due to good rains this spring, and some especially hard rains this summer, many of the recent large diamonds were found right on the surface. Diamonds are a bit heavy for their size, so a good downpour will wash the dirt away, leaving the diamond exposed. The search area at the Crater of Diamonds is a 37 ½-acre plowed field that is the eroded surface of the eighth largest diamond-bearing deposit in the world, in surface area. It is the world's only diamond-producing site open to the public. In addition to diamonds, semi-precious gems and minerals are found in the park's search area including amethyst, garnet, peridot, jasper, agate, calcite, barite, and quartz. More than 40 different rocks and minerals are unearthed at the Crater. The park's policy is finder-keepers. What park visitors find is theirs to keep. The park staff provides free identification and registration of diamonds. Park interpretive programs and exhibits explain the site's geology and history, and offer tips on recognizing diamonds in the rough. Notable diamonds found by park visitors since the state park was established at the site include the Amarillo Starlight, a 16.37-carat white diamond discovered in 1975 which ranks as the largest diamond ever found by a park visitor. The second largest find by a park visitor is the Star of Shreveport, an 8.82-carat white gem unearthed in 1981. In 2011, a visitor from Colorado found an 8.66-carat white diamond she named the Illusion Diamond, which is the third-largest gem registered here since the Crater of Diamonds State Park was established in 1972. Crater of Diamonds State Park is on Ark. 301 at Murfreesboro. It is one of the 52 state parks administered by the State Parks Division of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
